Barun is a qualified Company Secretary from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Sarsuna Law College, Kolkata. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting from Umesh Chandra College.
